What we collect
Very little, as it turns out. This page says plainly what happens to your information, rather than covering every practice we might one day adopt.
The short version
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you. We do not build a profile of your visit or share anything with advertisers.
The only personal information we hold is what you give us directly - by placing an order or sending us an email.
When you buy something
Checkout is handled by Stripe on Stripe's own pages, not ours. Your card number and billing details are entered there and never pass through this site.
From Stripe we receive what we need to fulfil the order: your name, email address, shipping address, and what you bought. We use it to send you the order and to answer questions about it.
Stripe processes this information as an independent controller under its own privacy policy, which is worth reading if you want the detail of how payment data is handled.
When you email us
If you write to hello@rekova.ca we keep the message and your address so we can reply and refer back to it if you contact us again. Mail sent to that address is forwarded to a Google inbox.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, their servers keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses. These are used to run and secure the service, not to identify you, and we do not analyse them.
Links to Instagram and TikTok
Our social links are ordinary links, not embedded widgets, so those platforms cannot see your visit here. Once you follow a link you are on their site and under their privacy terms.
How long we keep things
Order records are kept as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Emails are kept while the conversation is useful and deleted when it is not.
Your rights
Rekova operates from Canada, and Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA) applies. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@rekova.ca and we will respond.
If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
If we start collecting anything new - a newsletter, analytics, anything of that kind - this page will be updated before that happens, and the date below will change.
