Usable by everyone
A brand built for ordinary bodies should have a site that works for them too. Here is what is in place, and what we have not got to yet.
What is in place
- Every image carries alternative text, so the page makes sense to a screen reader.
- The site can be operated by keyboard, and focus is always visible rather than hidden.
- Animation is switched off for anyone whose system asks to reduce motion.
- Buttons that show only an icon carry a text label for assistive technology.
- Text contrast is checked against its background rather than eyeballed.
- The page declares its language, which lets screen readers pronounce it correctly.
What is not tested yet
- The site has not been formally audited against WCAG, and we do not claim a conformance level we have not measured.
- It has not been tested with every screen reader and browser combination.
- Some longer routine descriptions may be harder to follow at very small text sizes.
